Today Janelle Monae posted to her twitter that she’s “privileged, just to be.”
What a profound statement. I sat for a second and pondered how true that is. There are all these molecules and atoms that might have never met before, or maybe are always attracted to each other. Then they hook up in just the right way to make people, bunnies, clouds or asteroids.
Pulses in my brain tell my fingers to make this cell phone type out what I’m thinking. And the phone is smart enough to send my thoughts to space so a satellite can share this information and boom! You can see what I’m thinking about.
This close to a star, sometimes it gets hot. And other times it’s just slightly out of reach.
What a great reminder, Janelle. It is a privilege just to be.
