So we got married! Woo! It’s awesome being a Mrs. I mean, it’s kind of exactly the same as before I was a Mrs. since we’ve lived together for over two years, but now I have a new name (all legally changed and everything), and I just *feel* wifely. It’s cool.
That being said, we got two spring pans for the wedding (thanks to everything I could have ever wanted on our registry), and I bought a cake mix the other day (thanks to Vosges for making amazing chocolate things).
I’m quite excited to make a REAL layer cake.The last time I made a layer cake was for the first birthday Mr. and I celebrated together (his birthday) and I made two sheet cakes and used the cover of the jar of cookie cutters to cut out the 7 layers (prob 6” in diameter). It wasn’t pretty, but it was awesome. Now I have the proper tools, and a GOOD mix (no offense, Betty Crocker).
And, we got a cake plate for our wedding as well, something I’ve always wanted (and hopefully when we actually have our own house (instead of renting someone else’s), I can have a cake plate collection, or some sort of absurd collection of fragile glass things that may or may not ever be used.
In conclusion, I’m married now. And I continue to bake. And I’m horrible at posting frequently. So, really not much has changed.
